I am a traveller of both time and space, to be where I have been at 1:57 AM
I'm not perfect but for the very least I'm not fake.
Have been tweeting and sharing some quotes I came up with recently that accurately captured my feelings recently. This one really hit home. I don't know how I came up with it but one day I just got it together in my mind. Self-esteem is really one thing I value in life. And since I have nothing to blog about until I finished saving all the photos I have for this post, I'll talk about it for a lil' while... (Yeah right. A little while always turns up to be at least half a page of rantings)
So maybe this needs to be traced back, way back when I was still young. When we were still ignorant kids, LOL. I remember my attitude was horrifying when I was young. Too impulsive, too rash, and too scheming. I've always been a cunning girl from young, believe it or not. I'll scheme to get what I want. Honestly that is really immoral LOL and well yes I still scheme to get what I want nowadays but yeah I don't do it all the time. Unlike the past. And the big difference was that I didn't have much confidence in myself. I mean, back in those days it was different. You don't get ah lians at primary 3 or 4 hurling vulgarities at every tiny weeny thing, smacking all that tons of makeup on their face and going into/falling out of relationships recurringly. In fact we were all nerds even at Sec 1, with me being the nerdiest, LOL! -_- I remember I was one of the first few to get contact lenses and it was kind of a big thing to be wearing contacts back then because you can look so different (to others of course). The period where you start to learn how to dress up, beautify yourself and all? Yep. And then there was Sec 2. I'd admit that's the super ah lian period of me. Because others' opinions of me really mattered a lot back then. I wanted to look good and maintain good friendships with everyone. If you've heard me often, I'd always label 2008 as the freaking wild days of my secondary school life. A quick look at my past blog entries in that year would have said a good lot deal about the way I was back then. My posts consisted of nearly 60-80% of vulgarities, words typedd like dhat, 99% of zilian ahlian photos (LOL) and yeah, stuff like that. In the years after that I'd said stuff like "oh I hung out with the wrong company, peer pressure" blah blah blah but seriously, who am I/are you kidding? You have a choice in everything. And thinking back, the real reason why I acted like that was because it was the trend back then with twitting (yes twiting, not tweeting), blogshops, Bugis Street and whatnot. Remember Cookie Monster/Elmo tees? Superman belts, NF shorts/skinnies preorders on blogshops, cardigans and everything. Well I'm kind of ashamed to say I got affected :X You know the feeling you get when you're doing what everyone does, and you feel that you can click well with others because you have stuff in common? Not really sure how to put it, but it's something like being accepted because you're doing the same stuff? Argh this is getting further and further from what I wanted to rant on initially. So yeah in any case, those were the days I got really, I repeat, really affected by what people thought of me. It was a really eventful (sigh) year I would say. I cried a lot, laughed a lot, schemed a lot (of cuz trololol), swore a lot, and many dramatic incidents happened. There were various inter-class quarrels, like the one between 2E2, my class back then, and 2E4 over the newspaper collection thingy.
And of course there was a huge dispute in my clique. I did something that I shouldn't have done, like taking our personal disagreements online for everyone to see. Thinking back, it was really childish, and even if I wanted to I should have been more mature and privated my blog to only those involved. So yes, I really had to apologise to everyone who went blogging everything online after I did, be it against that same person or helping her. And if you guys are reading this, you know who you are! No need for names to be mentioned because I'd rather let sleeping dogs lie.
So yeah, back to the issue. Look at me now. Fringe with multiple unglamorous holes (LOLFORLIFE),not-so-flawless complexion, tired-looking eyes, unaligned teeth on the bottom, etc etc etc. But right now, at this very moment, I'm perfectly happy with the way I am. Of course I'd like to have holeless fringe (HAHAHAHA DON'T LAUGH) and my good complexion back, but that's not the point here. What I mean is, when someone laughs at me and say "Hey your teeth are fugly get braces" I can pull off a square face, look at said fucker (LOL) in the eye and say things along the lines of "At least I look better than you" and... Well, throw in a bit of expletives there.
So at the end of the day, what I really wanted to say was I don't care that much about people's opinions anymore. It's impossible to ignore what everyone has to say about you, especially if it's something untrue, unintentionally portrayed by yourself (actually I would be concerned about this), or just plain horrid. But hating, half-assed and irresponsible comments won't get to me anymore :)
And with that, I'm getting back to updating! Life has been both mundane and lax recently. Projects are accumulating on the one hand, but somehow I have found time to go out and be a carefree lil' angel like I always am on the other hand (LOL). But I'd be updating about the movies I've watched recently.
So on one fine day before the term tests and break started, I met Diana and Jieru after school for a movie. It was a pretty angsty day for me because my phone rang out of battery, I got into a heaty quarrel with a friend of mine and I couldn't even send that motherfucker a piece of my mind because my phone had no battery left. I tink Diana was too tired to hang out after school but she gave in to me in the end. Love her like always :') Slacked with her outside TP's library with Firman & Clarissa before meeting Jieru @ MUSHROOM. Talking with Sasa made me miss primary school days. Days of innocence. Ah but I had various quarrels back in pri6 too... LOL THAT WAS REALLY CHILDISH :( Anywho, slacked with the 3 of them for some time before meeting Jr. Turns out her phone had no battery too! #FAILX2 Hahaha!

So we went to the foodcourt at CS for our dinner before watching our movie. Snapped a few photos because my battery was dying for the day due to the massive amount of spamming with my classmates in school library!

And we caught X-Men! Friggin' awesome movie. If you haven't seen it you really MUST. It's gonna stop showing soon I think. It was so good that I caught it twice, not to mention willingly. The only movie I've watched more than once in the cinemas out of my own initative is Kaiji because that was awesome too!

Alex aka Havok! He's the same actor who acted in one of Taylor Swift's videos! Hot dude :P
Banshee! Somehow I like him more than Alex because he's all dorky and hilarious!

So the other fine day I went back to school to catch up on projects with my classmates. I'm still tempted to add the word "new" in front of classmates but yep, there's no more need to huh. It's already been one semester. Time really flies! Anyway, I met Hazel and Wei En in the library. Both of them were late! I was using the computer in the first level, checking out Twitter, Facebook and all the usual stuff. But as expected I feel weird doing all my socialising stuff in such a public place :/
So anyway, we kop-ed a project room at Level 7 and started doing projects. Showed Beng the Nigahiga videos first and then we go started on freaking terroir. I hate terroir. What's so good about terroir!? What's so nice about BLUE CHEESE!? *gags x100*
And after some time, Hazel and I went to TM to catch Kungfu Panda! The both of us agreed before term tests to watch Pirates of the Caribbean together (MESMERISING MERMAID *FAINTS*) but unfortunately it stopped showing!!! Boohoo :( But nonetheless we decided that we HAVE to watch a movie, and ta-da~ Kungfu Panda 2! Well initially we were thinking of Ladda Land too... But judging by the poster, I doubt it's something the two of us girls can withstand by ourselves... *cowers in a corner* Hahahaha someone once called me sick in the mind because I LOVE horror movies and would always tell people that I hate it and I'm scared just to encourage them to scare me... And then I'll be happy deep within. OKAY THIS IS THE TRUE SCHEMING ME I'M SO SORRY I DISAPPOINTED YOU HAHAHAHA YOU GUYS THOUGHT I WAS AN ANGEL RIGHT :)))))) I KNEW IT! I have been and will always be an angel~~~
I went out of topic. I'm so sorry LOL, living in my own lil' world. Anyway, Kung Fu Panda 2 is AWESOME too! If you haven't watch it you should, it's a movie not to be missed, on par with X-Men! Though I would say X-men is the one that I would watch repeatedly over and over again.
